Stress Release with Pulsor®: Dr. Yao's Relaxation Techniques

Most people understand stress as a psychological phenomenon. You feel overwhelmed, anxious, or tense, and you attribute it to your workload, your relationships, or the general pace of life. Dr. George T. F. Yao, the aerospace engineer who spent his career at Hughes Aircraft and NASA before devoting his life to the study of bioenergetic fields, understood stress differently. In his framework, stress is an energy event. It is the measurable result of disrupted polarity in the body's Vortex Energy Polarity Centers®, blocked flow in the three primal energy circuits, and accumulated conflicting energy in the physical, emotional, and mental bodies.

Because Dr. Yao understood stress as an energy phenomenon, he was able to develop precise techniques for releasing it. Not vague relaxation exercises, but exact protocols using specific Pulsor® colors placed at specific locations on the body for specific durations. The results, documented over decades of workshops, clinical applications, and practitioner feedback, are consistent and reproducible.

The Physics of Relaxation and Stimulation

Before understanding the stress release techniques, it is essential to grasp the principle that governs all Pulsor® body work: the rule of similar and opposite polarities.

All Pulsor® units have positive polarity on all six surfaces. However, when red and blue Pulsor® units are used together, the red functions as positive and the blue becomes negative relative to the red. This creates a complementary pair that can either stimulate or relax any energy center in the body, depending on placement.

The rule is simple. Similar polarities relax. Opposite polarities stimulate. When you place the positive Pulsor® (red) on a positive pole of the body, you create a relaxing mode. When you place the negative Pulsor® (blue) on a positive pole of the body, you create a stimulation mode.

In practical terms: Red on positive polarity and Blue on negative polarity produces relaxation. Red on negative polarity and Blue on positive polarity produces stimulation. This principle applies to every region of the body and every technique Dr. Yao developed.

Automatic Self Relaxation: The Central Circuit Toning

Dr. Yao developed a complete self relaxation protocol that anyone can perform at home. It is best practiced in a quiet room, with subdued lighting and soft music. The procedure requires three Pulsor® units: red, green, and blue.

The protocol begins with toning of the central circuit. Lie down with feet pointed south. Place the Red Pulsor® on the pubic bone and the Blue Pulsor® on the forehead. These two remain stationary throughout the entire toning period. Then place the Green Pulsor® on the navel and hold for four to five minutes before moving it progressively through the body's central energy centers: the solar plexus, the heart center, and the throat center, pausing at each for four to five minutes.

One may yawn or sneeze during this process, which Dr. Yao noted is merely an indication of response as energy blocks release. When the Green Pulsor® reaches the forehead, the Red Pulsor® is moved to the left hand and held over the spleen, while the Blue Pulsor® is held over the liver. This position produces a feeling of general wellbeing and a quick release of stress in the stomach area.

For upper body tension, the hands holding the Red and Blue Pulsor® units can then be moved to the upper chest area and held for four to five minutes or longer, releasing stress from the shoulder and chest regions.

The Automatic Self Relaxation technique requires a set of three Pulsor® units (Red, Green, and Blue). The Pulsor® Professional Set provides all three colors needed for this and all other advanced techniques.

Releasing Neck and Shoulder Tension

Dr. Yao identified that persons with an energy block in the stomach region commonly experience what he described as butterflies in the stomach, restlessness, muscular discomfort, faint itching sensations, tenseness in the shoulders and neck, and constant burping. These symptoms are all expressions of disrupted primal energy circulation in the stomach region.

To address this, the subject lies on their left or right side on a sofa, bed, or carpeted floor, using a small pillow under the head if needed. A Green Pulsor® is placed between the knees. A Blue Pulsor® is held in the right hand, crossed over the chest, and placed behind the left shoulder. A Red Pulsor® is held in the left hand, crossed over the chest, and placed behind the right shoulder.

This cross body placement follows the principle of stimulation (opposite polarities on opposite sides) to actively move stagnant energy through the shoulder and neck region while the Green Pulsor® between the knees anchors the lower body circuit.

The Star of David Technique: Emotional Detoxification

One of the most powerful techniques in Dr. Yao's system is the Star of David, a two step process specifically designed to stimulate and release disharmonious energy from the subtle energy body. This is emotional detoxification in the truest sense: the clearing of accumulated emotional residue from the spleen and liver areas, which Dr. Yao identified as the body's anxiety and anger centers.

Step one creates stimulation by forming an upward pointing triangle. Lying down with feet pointing south, place a Green Pulsor® at mid back opposite the solar plexus. Place a Blue Pulsor® under the right hip socket joint and a Red Pulsor® under the left hip socket joint. This triangulation brings energy upward from the lower energy centers to the solar plexus.

Step two creates relaxation by forming a downward pointing triangle. Place the Green Pulsor® on the pubic bone, the Blue Pulsor® over the spleen, and the Red Pulsor® over the liver. This downward triangulation releases the accumulated disharmonious emotional toxins from these organs.

Dr. Yao instructed that the Pulsor® units should remain in the second position for at least fifteen minutes or longer. Two sets of Pulsor® units are needed for the complete Star of David technique, one for each triangulation step. The technique draws its name from the geometric relationship between the two triangles, which when overlaid form the six pointed star pattern.

The Office Desk Technique

Not all stress release requires lying down in a quiet room. Dr. Yao developed a technique specifically for people sitting at their desk during the workday. Place a Red Pulsor® under the right foot, a Blue Pulsor® under the left foot, and a Green Pulsor® at the base of the spine or tailbone. You may sit in this position for as long as convenient.

This arrangement enhances circulation and provides general release of strain in the neuromuscular system. It can be practiced during meetings, phone calls, or focused work without anyone knowing you are doing it. For office workers who spend hours seated in front of computers under fluorescent lighting, this is one of the most practical daily applications of Pulsor® technology.

The Throat and Neck Release

Dr. Yao dedicated specific attention to the throat and neck region, which is one of the most common areas where stress accumulates. The protocol involves two stages, each held for at least fifteen minutes.

In the first stage, the Red Pulsor® is placed on the left side of the throat, the Blue Pulsor® on the right side, and the Green Pulsor® on the heart center. In the second stage, the Green Pulsor® moves to the navel while the Red and Blue Pulsor® units move to the base of the neck, red on the right side and blue on the left side.

For sore throats specifically, Dr. Yao recommended placing Red and Blue Pulsor® units at the throat area, held in place by a turtleneck sweater, shirt collar, or scarf, and leaving them on until the discomfort subsides, typically overnight while sleeping.

Why Energy Based Stress Release Is Different

Conventional stress relief focuses on the symptoms: muscle tension, racing thoughts, shallow breathing. Dr. Yao's techniques address the cause: disrupted energy polarity and blocked flow in the body's three primal circuits. Through the use of Pulsor®, as he wrote, the energy blocks at the lower conscious states can be removed, thereby releasing stress and tension from the Bio Physical Body, Emotional Body, and the Mental Body. Pulsor® is able to redistribute the Primal Energy evenly to all three states.

This is why many people report that Pulsor® stress release techniques produce effects that feel qualitatively different from massage, meditation, or other relaxation methods. The techniques work at the level of the vortex energy system itself, restoring the foundational polarity patterns from which physical relaxation, emotional calm, and mental clarity naturally emerge.
